No laser pointer! This makes it really difficult to know what Im temping. The accuracy is ok as long as I can figure out how to aim the tool. There is a small light behind the digital display, though dim. The flashlight is bright. Overall for the kitchen I give this three stars because it takes time and practice to learn to use.

This is my forth Fieldpiece tech tools that I have purchased. I like the themo side, but the flashlight side need a lot of work. The switch is a bit recessed, but no where near enough to keep it from being turned on in my pocket. So I have to replace the battery often. I would not purchase this again and wish that I would have read a review like mine to prevent me from making this buying mistake. Fieldpiece needs to fix this problem.
