I have never seen a puzzle with the back of the pieces in blue?! Well since most of the picture is blue, it was very frustrating to hunt and turn over the blue pieces!

Big fan of Ravensburger puzzles - have bought many for myself and as gifts. That said, this puzzle wasn't the best: picture quality wasn't crisp as usual and, for the first time ever, we found 2 duplicate pieces in the box.

I am a pretty big fan of the Ravensburger puzzles for the quality of the pieces. They're thick, they fit together without force, and it's easy to tell in most cases if a piece is in the correct location even in uniform color areas (like the blue sky). The pieces also have a nice textured feel which gives them a nice touch.

The one thing that I did not like about this particular puzzle was the image. Not that it's a beach scene, I actually like those and is why I bought this puzzle, but the quality of the image itself. I am not sure what they were going for, either they ran it through some heavy digital filters to change the contrast ... or they tried to make it look painted even though its a photograph ... or something. In several areas the image looks terribly pixelated up close. If you don't know what that means, it looks blocky similar to if you take a digital picture and zoom in too close.

It was still a fun puzzle, fairly easy overall.

I thought it was a great puzzle. I never once wondered if I had a wrong piece in a wrong area. Therefor making possibly the best puzzle I've ever done. I did find one major problem, The Price, when did puzzle go through the roof in price, these are a poor mans pass time but no longer. What ever happened to seeing a fixed price tag in the corner saying a dollar forty nine, or I can even see up to 5 dollars, but 15 dollars is unreasonable. You can watch top of the line movies for less money per hour than these cost. It'll be yard sale puzzle for me in the future, because they suppose to be a very inexpensive pass time.

This is your standard exceptional quality puzzle by Ravensburger. For those who are not familiar with Ravensburger, the puzzle pieces are of a canvas-style appearance, are carefully cut with SHARP tools, fit cleanly together, have exquisite detail that matches the cover, and are thick enough to hold together. This is the only puzzle maker from whom I would consider buying a more challenging puzzle. My daughter loves the fact that there is very little puzzle debris in the box (or, as she calls it, puzzle poop). I am addicted to jigsaws, and of all the puzzles I have ever owned or worked, Ravensburger is the best. This particular puzzle was both easy and difficult: the sea meets the sky in an easily identified line, the shading of the sky is straightforward, and the greenery is distinctive, making it easy; however, the rocks and sand were challenging and took more than twice as long as the rest of the puzzle. When I finished this one, my husband looked longingly at the image and offered to take me to Hawaii again. That was the best $20 ever spent!!!
