I don't know if my tube was old"¦.it came out white, but had a yellow tint when it cured. But it is quality silicone that I used around the shower surround. Also, not sure if it was an age issue, but the first quarter of the tube was really hard to squeeze out. But for some reason, after some use, it flowed much easier. As far as the yellowing, it is paintable, and I covered it with some white latex. For non-water areas, I will use Dap instead. That stuff dries pure white, but it's not silicone.

Luckily it's easy to clean as this was my first attempt caulking a sink alone. It wasn't as smooth as regular silicone but it adhered well. Did not find this color in this small of a tube for this price anywhere else.
