For a knockoff, it works!

Well, I received my Motobrackets fairing stay today and have the following to report regarding these aftermarket parts:
1) It looks and weighs ALMOST the exact same as the Kawasaki part.
2) The welding is definitely not as tidy or clean as on the Kawasaki part, but it's definitely strong.
3) The part came painted a flat black, as opposed to the Kawasaki part's gloss finish.
3) I needed to drill out the upper bolt hole as the two pieces were not lined up properly when it was welded and there was a slight overlap that was preventing the bolt from passing through (2 second fix, no biggy).
4) one of the gauge cluster brackets (upper right) was placed slightly off line when welded in place, and although it was easily bent into proper placement, the flat black paint cracked and flaked during this process (Flat black touch up paint applied, problem solved.)
All in all, the fit was better then I had expected regarding the reviews I have seen, and for half the price of OEM, once it was installed, I could not tell the difference from the original part and I'm happy with the purchase. In the world of aftermarket, this is a TRUE knockoff part, identical in looks, but definitely cheaper in build.
I'll be going this route again if I need another one, which I hope is NEVER, haha.
