I thought I had used this before, and has no issues. However, this time it did not work. My dogs we NOT flea infested before use. They might have had 1-2, but not infested. Two weeks after use, they were scratching like I had used nothing. Scratching constantly and tons of fleas. No, I did not bathe it off. I switched back to Hartz Guard and that worked some and got a flea pill that assists with infestations and now they are back to normal. I won't purchase this again. My parents dog (who is inside and never around other dogs) had the same issue.

I'm actually a professional pet groomer and while I've used vet recommended brands previously, I have clients like myself that would like to be able to use cheaper or more natural products. I went a winter with only natural products and flea baths for my dogs to try them out. As of this spring, eggs are hatching all over in the yard and both dogs are "infested"(any more than 12 fleas is infested). I washed both with the normal flea bath and removed all fleas and ticks and applied harts ultraguard dual action to our 20 lb outdoor chihuahua mix and sergeants flea and tick on my 8 lb shih-poo. Hartz cleared all fleas from the allergic chihuahua/beagle mix in less than a week with no ticks noticed either. As for sergeants, my shih-poo caught 2 ticks in the same front yard 3 days after application and after a week I went against directions and reapplied a second dose as he was still infested. Sergeants has not cleared up the fleas on him at all!! There was way more formula than I applied with hartz which caused his fur to gets greased up and slick down.

Works for a 18 lb Jack Russell terrier. I did not use all the dosage.

Vet told me it is not very effective. Returned it.

My dog always got some ticks this time of year with other tick products. With this product he has not had any ticks so far this year. I will be purchasing this again.
