Perfect small pot for loose leaf tea
Leah M✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 27, 2017
This is the perfect teapot for two cups of loose leaf tea. I've loved their strainers for years because they have the perfect sized mesh to let the tea leaves stay loose for a good steep but keep out the bitter crumbs. The strainer in this pot is a handle-less version of the same forlife strainer. This teapot feels very well designed and high quality. It also keeps the tea hot for a long time, so the second cup is the perfect drinkable temperature still if you're drinking alone. My mom, sister and I each have one and use them frequently. Not just a teapot for show, this is truly a functional pot for regular tea drinkers.
Simple, Perfect.

I have to be honest, ive used this item in the past... I first encountered it at a cafe in Cambridge... you could tell by the wear it had be through hundreds of uses, dropped, run through a commercial conveyor washer, etc. It was small, simple and easy to control.

The current version is no different. I don't recall the older ones having a plastic handle in the filter, but perhaps it simply broke off after its thousandth use? This particular item is simple and sturdy... It will both last for years to come and come out the other end still looking good. You don't have to hold the lid down when you pour--which is a huge thing for me having a minor form of cerebral palsy--though if you're nervous you can apply counter pressure to the stainless steel tab... It can fill a normal 280ml (6oz) cup 3 times... Allowing me to drink my morning tea with milk, without tainting anything more than my own cup... The lid does not come off, but thats ok with me... it can be cleaned with a basic sink brush and some mild cleaner (vinegar) or abrasive (baking soda). Another interesting thing in my opinion is that the filter just happens to fit well in my daughter's old sippy cup, with a lid (The First Years Take & Toss Spill-Proof Sippy Cups, 10 Ounce, 4 Count)... allowing me to stop the steep on something i can use multiple times while also protecting it from spills, dust, cats, etc. The benefit to that is after you dump out the bulk of the leaves, the cup is then almost a perfect vessel to fill with water, shake and pour out the couple of remaining that stick to the filter. My favorite benefit though is that they stack. The bottom raised ring on the vessel fits on top of the lid of another, allowing you to safely store a couple, while taking up a minimum of space.. Very nice for the times when my wife and i would like to share tea time, while also drinking the kind we each prefer.

Ordered tea at a cafe and it came to my table in one of these pots. I was impressed enough to order this one and am very happy with it. I like well designed, functional things, and this is my favorite of every smaller teapot I have tried. The filter with its flip up handle, makes it less likely that my fingers will get steamed while removing the filter after the tea is brewed. That, and the fact that the lid is permanently attached make it easier for me to use than a similar Bee House teapot we've had for years. The pot will make about two mugs or two and a half smaller cups, and it pours well with minimal or no dripping. I think whoever designed this thing ought to get an award.
High quality get it

This is the best teapot ever.
The color is exactly as seen on picture.
The infuser is sturdy and has a plastic handle which prevents it from being hot.
The lid was very practical unlike my some other ones where I have to hold the lid if I wanna pour my tea
Overall I am so impressed with quality
This is all I need my husband and I we like to drink a little cup of calling herbs before we go to bed and this size is really perfect.
Great buy

Pros:
Durable, well-made, tea strainer is large so steeping distribution is great. Cute, compact, easy to clean. Keeps tea warm.

Cons:
Smaller than I'd like it to be. Only reason I'm muy giving it a 5/5

Notes: only leaks a little if you fill it up way too much. Ceramic is MUCH easier too clean than other materials. Less breakable. Should have bought this ages ago, wish it was bigger though
