Good bang for the buck, one minor issue

Cons:
1) The top mount is metal and your flashgun will be secured, but because the two little "lips" on the ramp are so short, once you loosen it with the screw even just a few turns, the entire flashgun can fall off. So basically, it goes from very secure to no security very quickly.
2) You can lose the top screw nut if you accidentally unscrew it too much. If you lose it, you're screwed (see what I did there?. It's also a plastic screw. This is perhaps the cheapest aspect of the holder.
Pros:
1) Price. It's cheap. That's why you're looking at it.
2) It does what its designed to do well. Not spectacularly great, but it's not exactly a complicated job.
3) The angle of the neck is pretty secure when you tighten the screw, which has nice big grippy wings. But again, it goes from very secure to completely floppy fairly quickly after a few turns.
4) Light plastic. Not as durable as a metal one I suppose, but I'm sure I would lose this well before durability became an issue. I appreciate that it's light, as I'm often a one man band lugging gear around.
Conclusion:
In terms of performance, 8/10. With the cheap price factored in, 9/10. I bought a second one after I used the first one awhile. It's worth it.

It holds my speedlight and a 33" octoabox perfectly fine, with no wobble or movement

Its all plastic but it seems to be of a decent quality. All the parts arrived for it and it arrived within a few days of ordering, 3 days ahead of schedule. It holds my speedlight and a 33" octoabox perfectly fine, with no wobble or movement. I could see if you were constantly moving this up and down where the teeth wouldnt last forever, but it cost less than a trip to McDonalds. Yall need to quit being cheap then complaining how cheap something is. You get what you pay for. For me it works just as advertised. As far as shipping that's Amazon, thats what fufilled by Amazon means. Go call customer service. Just because it was slow to get to you doesnt mean its not a decent product.
Like the bracket but want to replace the cold shoe with a better one

I have this and a Manfrotto equivalent. I like how the umbrella post fits into this bracket; I think they did a better job than Manfrotto with this part. I also like that it is relatively short, so my flash (Canon 600 EX-RT) is not as far off center (but still halfway to the edge of many of my umbrellas or softboxes). On the downside, I really do not like the cold shoe. If you are not very careful putting your flash in, it will fall off. I have had this happen twice now, luckily without breaking the flash. As a result, I never let go of the flash till I have really shaken it and ensure that it is tightly connected. With my Manfrotto bracket, I can use a higher-quality cold shoe that is easier to know I have a good, tight fit between the flash and bracket.
Great product for great price

I was surprised to find that there is a great quality for such a low price. Most parts are metal with some that are hard plastic. There is a tab the holds the umbrella pole in place as well as a set screw. The tab is a little stiff at first, so getting the umbrella in took a little force, but now it goes in a little smother. The track for the flash also widens to get the flash or trigger in place and then has a thumb screw to tighten the track. I'd still recommend using the mechanism on the flash or trigger to clamp it down. My one flash is a Canon 580EX Ii, which has a rubber stopper on the back, so it wouldn't slide on the track but did still fit. I'm using triggers so that wasn't an issue, but if mounting that type directly to the track, be careful as it could fall off. The tilt portion has notches so it won't tilt without loosening the joint, which I like. They fit well onto the top of my Smith-Victor Raven light stands. The set screw for the light stand mount also made the whole thing secure. I don't plan on raising these above 8', but I think they'd do well if you're planning on using for weddings or other larger venues for strobist work or bouncing. Overall, I think it's a great product at a great price. Exactly what I was looking for.
I like this alot

This product is great, it secures to my stand really nice, it adjusts well, etc. Great buy if you intend on using an off-board flash to create good solid lighting. which I like to do.
Only reason I gave this 4 out of 5 is because it came just tossed in the box, in a cheap plastic bag, I would have liked something to put it in to protect the knobs and such. I also noticed the screw at the top of it is short, 3-4 full turns and the screw comes off, vs the screw that holds the unbrella tight, is longer and better. with they were reversed or the same length, and I dont want to switch them because it might strip the plastic where it screws in.
