Superb Results. Wow!

WOW! After getting a fabulous pair of new black and white shoes, i really wanted to change the color white to a more manly retro color to avoid the whole tuxedo scheme. The result is the photos i have attached.
Some tipsbon dying. This cannot be done with one layer. You have to layer it and then use a smaller brush to get the details on edges. I also used a shiny coat i bough separately. Make sure you use the primer/cleaner remover first to prepare surface for brushing on the dye.
I love this so much i am going to get other colors

THE BEST LEATHER DYE EVER!

I am a professional restorer of designer handbags. I buy them all beat up, clean them and then use this product exclusively to dye them. It's the best product EVER and I have bags I dyed years ago that still look great. I can't say enough nice things about this dye! The first coat may look "streaky" but press on--the second coat will do the trick. Although this seems like paint, it is NOT PAINT, it is a dye. Cleanup is soap ad water and I've used it to change black to white--it covers that well. Use sparingly--less is more and a little goes a long way--and be patient. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY and you will get excellent results. A beat-up leather bag a bottle of this dye and a some of my time always equals a brand new looking bag and resale at a profit or a happy restoration client. I've dyed so many pairs of shoes with this product that I have lost count. It's the BEST product I've ever used and I have been using it for 10 years.
Great product-easy to use

I had a pair of Frye boots that I got on sale in a slate blue color that ,unfortunately, shifted to a baby food pea green after several years. I had always wanted the dark brown, but didn't want to pay full price. Dying the boots was a perfect solution. I looked up dying leather boots on Youtube and found a tutorial using Tarrago Self Shine Color Dye and Preparer and Fiebing's Leather Dye, Dark Brown, 4 oz.
I used the Fiebing's first as it is a penatrating dye and the Tarrago on top to add another layer of color and seal in all the dye. I used the preparator before both dyes to clean the surface of boots (alcohol also works). I suggest buying an inexpensive plastic drop cloth home depot to protect your work surface and a paint sponge applicator, which makes applying dye on to larger areas much easier. Both products were easy to use. Now I have a beautiful new pair of boots!

I wholly expected that this was not going to work as well as they did. I dyed my brown shoes, black. Trying to save money, because the black shoes were around $25.00 more than the black ones, I thought I would send them to a shoe cobbler to dye them. I'm so glad I did it myself. Just to see if I could get the same look as a professional. They look beautiful! Great product, don't be scared. Just use the brush like a paint brush, follow the instructions. I painted them about 3 times to get the look just right. Now I just have to break my new shoes in! Love them!!
