I saw other families from our son's baseball team with these unbrellas and liked how easy they were to use. I ordered one myself and love it! I have used it not only at games, but also at the beach. The protection from the sun is great and it also helps when games are played during a light drizzle. We had problems with a piece on the center pole recently and JoeShade quicky sent out a replacement. The company was easy to talk to and had great customer service!
disappointment

Used it last year for the summer months as a shade on my patio. Some disappointments: not waterproof as several pin holes run the length of each inner rib. Unless you are using the ground stakes, you need something to hold it securely or it tends to tip over. If its a windy day, don't even try to use it. Faded badly by the end of 3 months use. Also, when I went to store it at the end of summer, rust had run down the length of all the inside poles. Brought it out to use again this summer. holes have gotten bigger and the fading is much worse after 2 more months. I will just be tossing after this summer ends - not much good for more then one or two seasons. Wasn't that expensive but expected more use.

After struggling with the setup and tear down of a small (backpack) easy up for weekend soccer games, we decided to "downsize" to an umbrella. Though it's less shade than the easy up, it's enough for up to 3 adults. It's also perfect for time when either of us go alone, as this is made for 1 person setup.
Additionally, we had a minor issue with the umbrella upon arrival. After reaching out to Joe Shade directly (not through Amazon) they IMMEDIATELY addressed and resolved the issue with the best level of customer service I've experienced in years.
I will definitely buy again and recommend to others.

I purchased my JoeShade umbrella earlier this spring and have toted it to a couple of my son's baseball games. It's light, easy to assemble, and does the trick on sunny days.
I recently had an issue with a defective anchor clip. I wasn't able to fix it myself and I didn't want to throw the whole thing away. So, I sent an email to JoeShade's customer service on Sunday, July 2nd. I received a reply back within an hour - yes, on a Sunday, and during a holiday weekend no less. After a couple of quick emails back and forth, we resolved the issue and JoeShade sent me a replacement part. Easy peasy! I recommend this product and will definitely do business with this company again.

Nice umbrella but plastic parts break easy

I purchased two of these umbrellas to provide shade in my small boat while fishing. They have worked great and even resist wind effects as well as could be expected. I am very happy with the umbrellas except for the cheap plastic used in the clamp. My son tightened the turn knob on the extension piece clamp with only moderate pressure and the piece easily split open rendering it useless.
