When I was a young girl visiting my grandparents in Texas, my grandfather would take me to the store and I could take my pick of any candy on the shelves - but only one. I always picked the Big Hunk. It was my favorite then, and it is still true today. I am not sure if this candy company had the same crazy agreement that Coors did back in the day, but it is really hard to find Big Hunks in the Southeast. I ordered these and every single bite was yummy - chewy and not too hard. I bought a case of them, and I have nearly eaten the whole box by myself. My dad and I shared this love of the Big Hunk bar, but sadly, he passed away just before my candy arrived. I sure wish he had been here to help me eat them. My hips and belly do not share my love (obsession) for Big Hunk candy bars.

As time has passed it's getting harder to find this candy in stores. So I surprised my husband w/this big box of them. He was in lala land lol

First off, the picture shows the candy bar wt is 2 oz, but that is not correct. It appears that Annabelle has lopped off .2 oz to make a little more profit. The 42.x ozs for the box is the correct weight, so what is advertised as the actual wt is correct. Either way it doesn't detract from the delicious candy bars flavor and texture. The candy bar will break if you do it while it is still in the package but if you unwrap it is if of medium density and stretches and is chewy. My bars came as fresh as if they had just left the factory. I am enjoying every bite.

My favorite candy bar. But the bars I got in the box were the rejects, in my opinion. It's as if the candy injector pulled away before it fully filled the molds. Not the perfect bars you find at the store where you can feel the shape before you buy. But its still good for me.
