Holds heavy sun blocking drapes wonderfully!
April L.•November 2, 2017
Works great! I used this in my bedroom for an inset window. I wanted to add heavy sun blocking drapes. I couldn't put a rod outside the frame of the inset because of my vertical blinds, so I decided to get this to try inside the frame. This holds the heavy drapes perfectly. Very sturdy!
Very Happy

I have waited to write a review to see how well this holds up in our shower and have had no issues with this after using since January. We placed it on ceramic tile, and it has not slipped once which is more than I can say about another brand that we had previously.
Cure for shower rod rage

Like everyone else, I was stuck with the more common style of rod without the spring, and couldn't find this style anywhere. I've been through at least 5 rods in 4 years, and no matter what I did or how tight I made them, they'd crash on me at least once a month, sometimes once a week. Usually in the middle of the night when it's terrifying. I couldn't hang a towel on the bar, and god forbid I hung a dress to dry. Any weight brought it down.
This one, though, is perfect. It's the actual spring-tension style, and it's not only far easier and sturdier, I can throw a wet towel over the rod and it doesn't budge. No crashes yet after a couple months of crazy hot and cold weather, changing shower curtains, etc.

like every other rod

This, like every other rod, slips on my terrible tiling in the shower.
I finally figured out a solution (without drilling, as my landlord forbids that)!
Buy closet rod holders/sockets and super glue 'em to the wall, then put the rod in there.
Voila, no more falling!

Cat tested and approved!

Great product. Easy to install. Point it downward after you release it and down it goes. Set it to just past the length you need with a twist. Place one end against the wall then push inward to get the other side installed. Strong hold and working really great so far. My cat has used the shower curtain as his climbing exercise and it is staying in place. This rod fixed my problem, now all I need to do is distract the cat to other adventures!
