I love this - tastes a lot like fresh. However, it is less than 1/5th of the price on an import foods site

I was kinda disappointed because the flavour is not similar to the real fruit, not at all. It is really bland and the texture was nothing like I expected. It's not worth the money.
Rambutan So Tasty!

I am used to getting fresh Rambutan in Hong Kong along with Lychees & mangosteen.
Have Bought many pounds of Rambutan over the years & they were just always flaming excellent!
Can't get them anymore so I thought I would try canned. I was pleasantly surprised, these were very good/ tasty &
the syrup isn't over done either.. Not as good as fresh but nothing canned ever is.
Ill be buying the case of six cans now. This was just one to try. Very nice.
I also ordered some Rambutan, to be delivered, that are suppose to be fresh in a 5 Lb box.
I Checked around & fresh are quite expensive compared to buying in Hong Kong.
If anything I would expect them to be over ripe, but to what percentage?
At least they were available, from tree to mouth may be a little too long but have to try.

Amazingly delicious and high quality. The flavor reminds me a bit of a cross between pears and corn. Yes, I know that sounds weird, but they really are incredible. Serve them chilled over some crushed ice.
