Super healthy, great tree

I was hesitant to buy a this from Amazon - after all, you can find these trees at most garden stores - but I'm glad I did. The tree arrived very well packed and was loaded with buds. Fast forward to now (1 month later) and it is loaded with leaves and completely healthy. The tree I received was a lot larger than 1-2 feet, too (closer to about 3.5).
100% satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend.

* Stunning Crimson Color Leaves. Pruned To Grow equally Up And Out!
* Mine Came 2 Feet (ish) Tall, And Dormant, In October. It Absolutely Burst In Late March, 2017.
* Arrived in Northern California with roots in bark/water wrapped in plastic- quickly!
* I planted Mine in 10 gallon pots to allow it to establish strong roots before it goes to ground next Fall.
* It's in full sun now and is really happy. Description says it likes part shade, so, I will watch it during Summer.
* ** Update, Mid-July I began to see a bit less vibrancy in the color on leaf tips. I moved it to an area that has part shade and within 3 days it perked back up.
* NOTE: Description says that it won't ship until November. I think it needs update, but, Please look at shipping date at your checkout.
* It's supposed to grow 15 feet tall and get 10 or so feet wide. My sister has one that is larger.
* These are Hardy! They need the normal amount of water any potted plant needs. Once in ground a good water any potted plant needs. Once in ground a good watering every month, or planted in shade, with established root system, maybe none. Nature will take care...

So far, so good.
The tree arrived unscathed, well packaged, and dormant.
In the box were instructions on planting and the nursery's government registration certificate.
Like others have said, it was taller than 12", more like 18-20" tall; the main stem is nice and straight and the root system looks great. The tree is clearly labeled with a band marked "Japanese Maple".
Like others have said, the item shipped quickly and arrived early. Given past reviews I made sure that I had my hole dug and ready for its arrival.
We will see how it grows here (Zone 5/6).
I'll make sure and update when I see growth!

5-Stars!!!! I've orderd a lot of plants & trees online, Amazon and I must say this was the best packaged, healthiest looking plant ever received! It was packaged so well you could drop from 100' in the air and you wouldn't of hurt it!! Gonna buy another right now!

So very happy with my purchase. I admit I was skeptic at first, a live tree from Amazon? The tree arrived quickly and in great shape, packaged according to California regulations(plastic Baggie around roots), i transplanted it to a larger pot and cannot wait for it to grow! Such a great tree, I will be buying again from this nursery! Well done, I recommend this tree to anyone looking for a great starter maple!
