everything about the tent is great

dont really like the stakes though they're hard af to pull outta the ground

it is a liiiiiittle bit on the short side (its actually pretty bad ngl) but its not a problem cuz i can just curl up when sleeping

so I got this tent knowing that it might not fit me. I am 6'2" and a side sleeper, so I figured I could make it work. End to end I can lay down completely flat and fit, but I am touching both corners with my head and feet. I have an rei inflatable sleeping pad that fits the length exactly. This works fine for me. There is no way I'm getting another person in there though. My dog and some gear will fit just fine (which is the purpose I bought this tent for). I don't see how they can call this a 2 person tent when the back tapers inwards so that only 1.5 set of feet can fit down there.

Pros:
Quality materials, thick outer shell
Easy to set up, but its meant to be more of a semi-permanent structure than a strike and go
The fly first feature is great if you just need to store gear or get wind/rain cover without full setup
The vent system is effective, it doesn't let out the inner temps in the cold and keeps you from getting stifled without letting in dust or the elements
The color is more like a dark coyote than the light tan in the pictures. I preferred this, as it blends easier out of the desert as well as in.

Cons:
Much better if you're short
The inner mesh pockets are a little weak where they connect to the mesh wall. I would avoid using the pockets unless you're ready to tape/patch those spots

this thing is no joke. I can't wait to take it winter camping. but if you think you're gonna do some light weight summer back packing with this then think again.

this thing is a SAUNA with two people inside. I'm talking at LEAST 25° warmer than the outside temperature. the TINY vents on the side and the mesh door on the front do very little to cool it off, so we just laid there, sweating and wondering of it would be worth it to just sleep out in the rain.

as a survival tent it meets expectations. its light, packs up small, is easy enough to pitch and strike.

all in all, it's a great tent, it's just warm as all get out.

Just came back from Big Sur / Los Padres National Forest literarily this weekend (12/08-12/10) ... this thing is worth that hefty price tag! Great investment, you will not regret it!
It was a good 40*F - 50*F with a brisk wind, barely felt cold! Well I also purchased the SNUGPAK JUNGLE BLANKET, so it was a comfortable weekend! Slept like a baby!
Easy to set up too! Color-coded poles, so there is no confusion. The "tub" was easy to set up once you have the fly & poles together. Putting it away is even easier! You dont need to take off the tub, simply fold with dissassembled poles - you're good to go.

Too bad SNUGPAK does not ship to the USA, they have tons of products I wish Amazon was able to sell (replacement poles, pillows, extra stakes, etc). Luckily I have a buddy in the UK to help me out.

DEAR AMAZON, stock up on more SNUGPAK goods!

this tent is still alive and kicking!
still intact, no rips nor tears, had to re-treat with waterproofing - but other than that, still awesome!

Great quality tent. All of the stitching was perfect and I absolutely love the color. It's a little heavier than my previous tent when I have the entire thing. However, with this two wall tent you can pack and set up just the fly making it more of an ultralight setup. This is a tent I've been wanting for years and finally decided to get one. I love it because its 4 season and a great brand. I'm very excited to take it out and test it. I'll update this post when I can after I use it.
