Great but the cut is very baggy

These are at least as good as the competition, for cheaper. If that's what you like I would strongly recommend it.
Pros:
- seems very durable
- definitely warm
- looks good
- very useable hood, which is rare
- 2 inside pockets
Cons: (and why I 4 starred it)
- the inside pockets are a bit too baggy so things stick out when worn
- only available in the "relaxed" i.e. baggy cut. if you're not slightly overweight this wont fit you well (thought its still decent), just like many competing similar hooded jackets. I'm 5"11 and 182lbs (so not super slim by any means) and this is just too baggy for me at my size. Going one size up, arms and lengths are ok, going one down, too small, and in either case, i can pretty much have another jacket under this jacket, plus regular clothing. Had to return it, even though I wanted to love it.

I can't find anything about the coat that I dislike..It's almost exactly the same as a Carhart that I also have, only it's $30 cheaper..It's a bit warmer than the Carhart too, it seems like, but feels slightly lighter weight-wise)...I am 6'1" and weigh 220 lbs. My build is long legged with an average torso heighth..I bought 2XL (which is my usual size) and it fits well. Loose enough to allow free movement (i.e. twisting at waist, bending at waist, reaching overhead) without looking baggy on me..A very good bargain. I bought the one that's kind of a root beer brown (I forget what they called it) and I'm going to purchase a couple of more for next year..Either navy or black, and a camo (if I can find one, those sell faaaaast!!) Good bargain on a high quality, durable coat..Recommend highly!!
Chore Coat, Comes nice enough to wear into the city.

I had a great "no name" chore coat. Finally wore it out, and ordered the EXACT same catalog number, from the same supplier. New coat arrived, lighter weight, and premium features like pocket snap flaps, missing. Same name, cheaper coat. So I ordered this coat. It is as heavy as my old favorite, just as well constructed, but the material is a bit different. The photos show what looks like a heavy, coarse duck canvas, with stone wash texture. I got a coat with a much softer and finer weave. The color is uniform, not "distressed" and the fabric is soft. Not a complaint, just noting the difference, which gives this coat a more refined, "dressy" look. By reading the various wildly differing reviews, I wonder if what is sold is completely consistent. They may come from several different suppliers, with variations in materials.
Well made but

Jacket does seem to be well made and I expect it will be durable. It looks good and sizing is right on. No need to go up or down in size except maybe if you were going to layer under it rather heavily. My only issue is this jacket is not very warm. The lining is thin and if there's any insulation under it the thickness would be about the same as rice paper. I'd say it's good to around 30 or maybe 25 degrees F. They do make warmer jackets so consider what you need. In Michigan this is more late fall early spring appropriate rather than winter
