I adhered velcro hook sections to the top part so it grabs the carpet on my speaker cabinets...works great
allowing me to hear myself more easily above the rest of the instruments

This stand allows me to point my amp at my head which is very important in small rooms. It allows me to keep an optimal performance volume/gain level while not blowing away the rest of the band or the audience. Also, with the sound directed at my head, I don't have to keep up my volume, allowing me to hear myself more easily above the rest of the instruments.
Would have liked a lower setting too

Works just ok. Slips pretty easily. Seems like such an easy thing to make flat so you can screw it to the back of your amp not so bulky like this
So much better than conventional speaker stands

Did Einstein come back from the dead to invent this? Because it ROCKS! So simple, but works so well. Where were you in the 80s and 90s when I was touring in a hair band??? I'd have traded a many cases of hairspray for one of these! So much better than conventional speaker stands.
