Several years ago I bought this "banana" for our three cats, all of whom were older. The cats went nuts for it, grabbing it like it was a wild animal infused with crack and playing with it for several minutes at a time, so we bought a couple of more. Those cats sadly passed on, but their toys stayed behind for our future adoptees, who have loved them and reacted to them equally as well. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to find new ones at our local store. We tried searching for catnip bananas and found an inferior brand that bust open like a wet bag of rice within minutes of reaching our cats paws.

Enter Amazon. I finally got smart enough to look for the brand name and discovered that our yellow banana shaped item was actually a boomerang, which only makes sense because our cats keep coming back to it. We bought two of them and our cats JJ and Cooper have gone nuts for them, enjoying the temporary high that comes with well made catnip toys.

This is one of my cats all time favorite toys! The smell of the catnip is so great that they even enjoy playing with the packaging for this toy. I have purchased several of these Petstages Green Magic Boomerang Buddy's in the past and I will continue to purchase them as long as they're being made. I love Petstages toys in general; but this is definitely their favorite toy. I am heavily involved in cat rescue and literally every cat I have ever rescued (and my own personal cats) has loved this toy. Even cats that aren't typically toy lovers really enjoy this toy. To me, that says a lot! And I love the fact that it holds up very well. The only reason I need to keep purchasing them is because my dogs get a hold of them and they eventually tear them open. I'd also like to mention that even though my dogs play with them too, it takes several months before they get ripped open and I need to replace them. This is a high quality cat toy and I'm confident that your cat will love it too!!

I looked everywhere for this specific toy until I finally found it. When my cat was not even 6 months old a friend gave us their old toy of this and she became OBSESSED with it. To say this is durable is an understatement. The one we received has lasted for years since before we got it and now about another year since we have received it. It has been washed multiple times, and had some edges sewn back before I could find the replacement. Needless to say it is still going strong and my cat throws it everywhere.
This toy is great for small cats especially and has a faint rattle to it to get their attention. Would absolutely recommend and will continue to buy as soon as she tears up the other ones.

Many cats- and all of mine LOVE the catnip banana. Love it. I thought it was a price one time risk (as far as cats, who will play with a plastic bottle cap for a month...)- but my guys and fosters go nuts over cantip banana. Magic right shape for grabbing, chewing on the corners while bunny-kicking.
This one is really durable and loved.
The only drawback I can think of- is that this is not the duck-cotton kind. It is polyester, with a bit of a fuzzy nap to it. It's strong- the cats haven't burst it open, and they do love it and play with it - a LOT.
But this one is slightly smaller than others, and they don't seem to like to chew on it as much, because, I think- of the fuzzy texture.

My cat was thrilled with this colorful toy with different shapes and textures. He already has two mice, so as soon as I tossed just one of the pair to him to him he grabbed it with his mouth & front paws, rolled to the floor, and repeatedly dug into it with his rear paws which may be the cat family of animals' way of shredding their prey into submission, either from blood loss or from simply stunning them. Whichever, even though my cat isn't one of the big ones, he's got the same instincts.

For such inexpensive cat toys the mice I received are well made with eyes that aren't the beads they at first glance resemble but seem to be some sort of fiber and are attached from within the body. The sound from the rattle inside is soft, so I don't know if that has any appeal. My cat doesn't gnaw like a dog, so the balls for the nose and at the end of the tail may stay on for quite a while; but at this price with Prime shipping it's hard to complain if they come off as long as they don't become a choking hazard. Therefore I would recommend purchasing them for your cat or cats.
