We used these to hang outdoor lights on our camper awning while camping. These work great for that, they hold up fine on the windier days, they hold the lights and have never fallen down on us. I have broken several (to my husbands much dismay) simply out of clumsiness. But they were inexpensive and he has already asked me to purchase more! I would recommend and will purchase again.

These clips are about what you would expect. I will say, the spring is a lot stronger and the hold much better than I expected. On the other side of the clip, the holding loop is kind of cheap and seems to be the failure point.
