Fairly easy and durable

I purchased and set up two of these. For me setting these up was no harder than the wratchet strap variety and these should weather better

Neat
I prefer the chain over the strap

I use the receiver mount with my M100U stand (awesome). A receiver comes with the stand. I ordered a second receiver when I ordered the stand. The receiver I ordered was the ratchet strap one as opposed to the chain. I thought I would like the ratchet strap receiver better but I don't. I have since ordered two more of these (the receiver with the chain) and really like them. Seem easier to use than the strap and I feel more comfortable with a chain holding me in tree as opposed to a strap. It is easy and convenient to have receivers installed at multiple stand sights with climbing sticks and lifeline and just move the stand from one to the other.
Go for the straps

Would definitely go for the strap model. The chains are too tough to link to get a good hold to the tree . I bought it because it looked like the chain would hold better, then saw the strap version which seemed easier. Since I always strap it again anyways, what's another one going to hurt? Chains will stilldo the trick.
