Don't hesitate. Buy one now!

I cannot express enough how much I love this poncho. I bought it 8 months ago and only got to use it yesterday. During a storm. While fighting a flood outside my house. I will be buying more of these, as well as liners to go with them. I'm 5'10 300lbs.
Flektarn AWESOME ness!

Excellent product heavy weight but not to heavy. Size is good for me 5'8". A little long but thats way better than short. I will updaye more after i build mt my first shelter with it and taco with a mil spec poncho liner.
Smaller Than Stated Size
Bruce GillilandMarch 30, 2017
The listed size for this poncho is 55" x 84". However, the actual measurements are 54" x 80". It's slightly smaller than another poncho I bought from Mil-Tec last year. And it's several ounces heavier. That first one just barely covers me, so I don't expect this one to do any better. Had it been the stated size, I would have given it 5 stars, but I can't when it's too small.
Good product. Keeps me dry

Good product. Keeps me dry, packs nicely into it's carry pouch, which fits in the small backpack I wear when hiking. The hoods are a bit small but still work well. Dries fairly quickly and seems pretty durable. I have walked through briars and only the strings show any wear. Good value for the money
seems like a quality product

Have not used it yet, seems like a quality product, I'm glad to have it for rain.

OK, I used it during a 2" storm while hunting and learned some valuable details:

1. There is one sewn on string thingy that you're supposed to tie around your wait to keep the poncho from blowing in the wind. It is not seam sealed and water soaks through it. For better results seam seal it with aqua seal.

2. All the strings that come with it are made of cotton and soak up water like a sponge. Replace them all with synthetic cord and performance will be increased. You can use dental floss to tie on some cord onto the cotton string that runs through the hood and use the existing cotton to pull the synthetic cord through the hood.

Also, there are some low star reviews by people here who do not understand that if it rains you will get wet no matter what type of gear you have. This poncho is pretty sweet as is and even better once you upgrade the details listed above. It would be a five star product after the upgrades. My hunting partner bought a 21.99 poncho, it was smaller and less durable. The camo pattern seamed shinier too which doesn't seem like what you want if your hunting. The grommets on this one are pretty nice but remove the strings, they just soak up water. Tie on strings only when using it as a blind or tarp.
