Works great.

These bags and oxygen absorbers work better than I expected and removes the oxygen in the bags well. After a few hours or day the oxygen is removed and the bag looks to be vacuum sealed even though oxygen is about 20% of the air we breath. I do try to push as much of air out of the bag before I seal it and this.
The oxygen absorbers worked great and are top of the line in quality

The oxygen absorbers worked great and are top of the line in quality. As for the Mylar bags I'm just getting around to putting some things in them. I know I'm going to be as pleased with these too. Planning a trip out west next year and this will help as far as food preparation and weight limits in the rv.
When the world burns, we'll see if they worked well.

So far so good - we'll find out in a couple years if they hold up. Use my foodsaver to seal non perishable foods for emergency then put them in mylar bags.
Note - you will not be able to use these in a foodsaver without some clever hackery.

Sealed beans for long-term storage
Tom•November 2, 2017
I purchased these bags to store bulk dried black beans for an emergency. I weighed 5 pounds of beans per bag and sealed it with a standard heat sealer (though you could use an iron). I inserted one oxygen remover per bag and within 6 hours they looked like they were vacuum sealed. The bags are rock hard. I then stored six 5 pound bags per 5-gallon pail for long term storage. No oxygen, no light, no pests, no moisture.
Good quality

Everything came in good shape and on time. Nice thick bags. Don't expect the oxygen absorbers to create a complete vaccum inside the bag, it's only absorbing the oxygen. Our atmosphere is 70 percent nitrogen. Oxygen breaks good down though so it works good for preservation.
