Really good knife for the price
Michael•March 27, 2018
Really good knife for the price. Unfortunately I had to return it, because it is just too big for my hands.
It just feel huge. Blade alone about 4 inches and handle even bigger..
Otherwise great - sturdy, heavy, locks really good, very tight, no wobbling. I would probably get a smaller model of same design.

Beautiful knife Stiff lock back

Beautiful knife very sharp out of the box. The lockback is very stiff and does require great effort to get it released. The fit and finish is excellent and amazingly there are no screws holding it together it is peened together making the knife really smooth
Fantastic Knife! I love Spyderco knives

Fantastic Knife! I love Spyderco knives, and even the Byrd "economy" line is nothing to turn your nose up at. The knife is solid; I love the stainless steel body (even though I have read other reviewers state theirs came scuffed up a bit). A great buy especially on the budget!
Nice Knife

Well centered with no blade play and sharp. It arrived stiff and gritty. A good washing in dawn with a toothbrush and then some quality lube and it's way better. I stropped the blade even though it was sharp from the factory. It'll be a good knife for what I want it for...a work knife. Most of my knives have 8Cr13MoV blades. I like this steel, it holds an edge well and is easy to sharpen. The knife rides well in my front pocket with a sturdy clip and still allows room to get my change, keys etc. It's bigger than I thought (my fault), but being thin helps keep it comfortable in the pocket and a great EDC, even though it's bigger than I'm used to. This isn't a fast deploying, instant opening knife. But, it opens and closes one handed and looks like it'll be plenty sturdy to do anything I'll need it to do. For the price, If I get a year out of it, it'll be a bargain.
a great item.
