Wonderful Rice

This rice is fantastic and no need to add other spices if desired. I use in many casseroles or just plain as a side dish. If chicken is served in this family they expect the Par Excellence Rice with the meal. In all honesty if I served this every night I guarantee I would not get one complaint. Try and enjoy it.
Yellow from food coloring - minimal saffron if any

Just opened the jar today and found that the inner seal had been broken.
Also I noticed that YELLOW FOOD COLORING #5 seems to have been used in place of the saffron (saffron is listed as the LAST ingredient and as "less than 2%". This could be anywhere from 0% to less than 2%.
This product therefore is priced way too high as the only expensive ingredient would be the saffron which is "less then 2%". We stay away from food coloring and yellow #5 is one of the worse with studies linking it with hyperactivity in children, asthma, migraines and cancer.

We love this I am so glad we found it online our local Store where we bought our first bottle of it stop selling it. Its taste just like restaurant yellow rice. Its easy to make and you get a few meals with just one cup worth. It makes up the best stir fried or a side dish. try it you cant go wrong.

I am not a fan of rice, however, when I tasted this rice I fell in love with the flavor. I use it for all the recipes I make that require rice that I used to avoid in the past. When I need a side dish that would require pasta or potatoes I use this instead.

We make rice occasionally and this jar is fantastic. It is easy to open and close, so nice have a jar instead of a burlap sack. The flavor is really what sold us on it though. You do not need to add anything to this rice to enjoy it. We would buy this again.
