Way better than traditional cleaner/lubricants!

A friend shared this product with me after I complained of harsh cleaners I would use in the past. I thought that this wouldn't be able to clean as well as the can spray's and would leave the parts unprotected. Definitely was wrong! This stuff is the best and smells frickin fantastic! I use a heat gun to cover every inch of the trigger assemblies and then simply wipe off excess. Lubricates and protects very well since I frequently store mine in a safe.
Excellent protection, but removed my ability to tell myself my wife kicked me out of the bedroom for smelling like CLP

It's served me well through sub-freezing temperatures and humid summers. The smell is also a huge bonus, as my wife no longer bans me from the bedroom for two days because I smell like traditional CLP. I'm still not allowed in the bedroom fairly often, but it has nothing to do with CLP now, and I'm coming to terms with that fact.
I've had excellent experiences with these products, and haven't had any rust show up since starting to use them, nor any functional issues from running too dry. I'm a big fan of froglube, and recommend it to all my brethren who are used to being banned to the garage even when they don't want to be.

It's not a bad lube. I live here in sunny so cal where it is very hot, dusty, and dry. I applied it to my semi auto pistol as per the company's online instructions and have never had a problem with it. Being that its not like your traditional lube it doesn't attract dirt particles to your firearm. It does sweat once my pistol heats up after about 2 rounds and seems to do the lubrication prt very well during firing. I did notice that the bluing on the barrel of my XD40 was starting to wear off where it rubs metal on metal as it cycled while i wss using conventional lubes. But as soon as i started using this stuff the noticeable wear had stopped progressing so much and so fast. I also don't have to worry about it gumming up as it is basically dry until it heats up. As for the claim of making the cleaning of the gun a lot more easier it kind of does fulfill that part of the bargain but not by any huge wow factor in my opinion, but the carbon does come off easier somehow with this stuff. However; it won't get the copper fouling out of your barrel so you will have to look elsewhere for the clearing of that stuff that is compatible with froglube as froglube kills off petroleum based products. I spent 6 years in our U.S Army 82nd airborne as an infantryman so i do know about weapons and how to clean them, i also am very discriminatory of products i use on my weapons. I thought it a gimmick when i first heard of it, just cuz it was invented by a navy seal does not mean it is a miracle combat tested product 100% effective imho but through a couple friends testimonies i decided to try it and i do like it but minus a star for the barrel cleaning portion i mentioned previously. The only thing i have not been able to test it through is through the use in very hostile to metal ocean water, nor have i been able to test it in very cold lubrication gumming weather so i will not give a testimony on those conditions. I also would not use this as a lubrication on weapons systems such as a m-14, or m1 garand were firearm grease is a better application.
Great product, expensive, a must for CCW

The paste is more grease like in consistency, but is not really greasy if that makes sense. It appears to be the same as the frog lube liquid just with added stiffeners. I only used the liquid and YES YOU CAN USE A NEEDLE APPLICATOR. Their are little specks suspended in the lubricant that would lead you to believe it wouldn't work, but it does. Having a needle applicator I find pretty important, and I almost did not buy based on someone else comments.
It's weird to do your first application. Use a degreaser or cleaner product first. Then, I applied Frog Lube and it seemed to sit where it was, unlike any other liquid CLP or oil ive ever used. The package recommends heating. I used a heat gun on low and in 5 seconds the specks were gone, they melted and the liquid became very viscous. Everything got coated that way quickly. I let the Frog Lube sit for 5 minutes and wiped everything down with patches and a microfiber towel as if to remove everything. You could tell traces of lube are left. It did seem to remove extra gunk the solvent didn't. I then re-lubed everything, pinpointing where I wanted the liquid. Racked the slide a few time and was good. Now that I've converted my firearm to frog lube, next time I will probably just use the liquid to clean, wipe off and the paste in friction areas, no heating. maybe pin point a few areas with the liquid.
As Tex S. has commented, it is a great option for concealed carry. It will not run like oils do and get everywhere. I also see it staying put much longer then oils as well. I'm pretty confident the the paste/lube will liquefy with a few trigger pulls. This stuff is just formulated to the perfect phase between a liquid and a solid.
The only negative is the price point, a little too high in my mind. I had 2 FTE on my Sig which prompted me to search for a new product, in which I turned to Frog Lube. Could have been because I hadn't re-oild since the cleaning 8 months prior, or the 150rds range rounds. Not sure... but in my mind, a quality carry firearm should go bang every time, an you can tell there was no lubricant left with the oil upon examination. The FTE happens around round 115ish. I would buy again, however it would be tempting going with a knock off Frog Lube on Amazon. This really should be $19.99 price point. I bet Frog Lube would pull in more business away from similar formula competitors(that are killing this price) and be able to grab some business away from the major oil based cleaner brands. The only reason I bought this over another, was it was veteran owned business, made in the USA and environmentally friendly.

Great for ARs, shotguns, and pistols. It withstands a lot of abuse and is there when you need it.

I carry a firearm all the time for personal use and for my job. Where most lubricants can evaporate after a few weeks or months, this product stays on the weapon and maintains a protective barrier. It helps prevent against grime and rust. Once applied, the wax will stay on the firearm until you start shooting. When you shoot, the ignition of the rounds will heat up the wax and turn it into lubrication. The more you shoot, the more lubricated the gun becomes. This product is perfect for ARs as they need a high level of lubrication. I have yet to have a malfunction while using this as lubrication. Other oils and CLPs have worked ok, but if I pull out the firearm and start shooting after the weapon has been dormant for a while, I have a failure to fire or other type of malfunction after a couple of rounds. This is not the case when I use Froglube. I have found a product I intend to stick with for life.
