$8 piece of plastic - think about it

I paid $8 for this piece of plastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What was I thinking????
Come to find out I can't even use it - I got it because the rocker switch requires a 1/2" hole. I wanted to hook this up to my Ariens snowblower because the light is always on and I wanted to be able to switch it on when needed. I thought this $8 plastic mounting plate would give me some options but looking at the upper panel I can't find an area where this will fit. Ugh - EIGHT DOLLARS!!!!! This thing probably cost $1.25 to make. Seriously. Think about this purchase before buying. Also what does that thin piece of plastic with the two prongs on each end do? No idea just tossed it out but it is int he picture.
