In recent few years I have purchased several of these Snapware 18.5 cup containers. They stack well - tight closure - perfect size for dry beans, peas, rice, flour, dried fruits, etc. Things coming in plastic or paper bags do not fit well in shelves, this solves that problem. Plus - nothing can get in - like occasional pests. Snapware also washes well -

I use this to store dried herbs, jars, and several dry ingredients/tools. I needed something air tight to keep the contents from over drying. I also needed something that would hold everything even tho I couldn't quite figure out what size I needed. I originally bought a salad size one and it fit the most important things but not everything. I came across this in my search and decided to give it a shot. It holds everything and it also holds the smaller container I bought as well.i now have a double air tight container and an air tight container to contain everything relevant! Works exactly for what I needed!

The snaps on this do not seem to be very stout and I don't have much faith it will last many uses. When I lock the top down with the snaps it also does not seem to be truly air tight since the plastic on the top is pretty flimsy and the snaps seem a bit loose (I thought they were not fully snapped down, but they were). It just does not seem like it was built to last, though the size is nice.
Finally, and probably the worst, they put one of those paper stickers on the side that never come off in one piece, took some goo gone to get the last bits of it off the container.

Great size. I have two. We use them for assorted crackers, breakfast bars or anything that is individually wrapped that we want to keep fresh. The items stay fresh inside. I like to dump all the assorted snacks in the container so I can get rid of all the different boxes in the cabinet. It save a lot of space. The container is easy to use and clean.
