Sturdy, comfortable, affordable fold-up shower seat.

Wall mounted shower seat has steel hinge pins into a rear-mounted steel frame. Seats are plastic though comfortable. Color was the desired / ordered white, even though box picture was a bright yellow. Directions are metric so...bring your metric tape or just use the back frame to mark your holes. We mounted into blocking installed in wall, using all of the mounting holes. Easily holding 165 pound individual without sag or feeling of potential failure. Rated for loads much higher. Paired with a new flexible shower head / flexible hose that attached to original shower pipe and now held in place mid-height for easy reach from the seated position.
Do NOT Mount into Drywall w/o Studs

I was a bit leery about mounting this into the drywall at the top of our stairs, as a way to sit down and wipe off the pup's feet before bringing him inside, as there weren't any studs there. Since the instructions didn't mention anything about needing to install the bench into studs, and since the kit came with long anchors, I figured it would be fine. After my husband spent a good 45 minutes installing it, I took a sit (I weight 150 lb), and it completely pulled out from the wall, pulling anchors and drywall with it. What a waste of time, and it destroyed the wall. Plus one star because the return process was easy.

Actually my husband put this on the inside door to the garage. He likes to sit while putting on shoes and boots to go outside. Works perfect!
