This unit makes cleaning kegurators super easy!
why this kit is better than the kits that pump from the tap side

Very easy to use and a great concept. Most kegerator beer line cleaners pump from the top to the bottom....but this one pumps from the bottom to the top. Why is that important? Well the cleaner needs to sit in the lines for 15 minutes. If you pump from the top to the bottom like the other guys...you have to do it over and over again to get anywhere near the residence time needed to sanitize the lines. When you go bottom to top, you have the valve at the tap to hold the liquid in the line. I pumped the cleaner through until all the beer was out and then closed the tap. Between the pressure from the pump and the closed tap valve, I was able to let the line sit full of the sanitizer for the full 15 minutes. you then flush with warm water and you are done. This pump did a fantastic job and my beer lines got a good cleaning. The instructions are great. Once you do it the first time, it is super easy to remember and the next time will be a cake walk. I did a lot of research before buying and I am really happy with the results from this kit.
A must-have for kegerator owners!

I'll start this review by stating that I have cleaned beer lines professionally with much more expensive and nicer equipment, but needed something affordable for my home kegerator. I settled on this unit versus the more basic gravity-fed types and the other deluxe pump types that utilize a party-pump style pump attached to a plastic bottle. Those seemed like they would be top heavy and awkward to use, but I've never used them before so I can't say whether this or the party pump style cleaners are better.
This uses a pretty basic garden style sprayer that you would find at a home improvement store. Really, the main key to this product is the piece that connects the hose to your beer line. They've changed the attachment from what is seen in the pictures to something simpler, but it is a nice heavy-duty metal piece and is easy to use.
One of the BIG reasons I went with this unit is the inclusion of a 32oz bottle of BLC, which, in my opinion and experience, is the best cleaning agent for beer lines. I have found that BLC does a much better job of cleaning the lines over some of the powder-based products out there. Since a 32oz bottle of BLC will usually run around $20, it adds to the value of this product.
Speaking of value, that's where this could lose a star, as one could piece one of these together themselves and save some money, but the price was fair enough with convenience factored in.
I do have my doubts about how long the sprayer will last....it's all plastic. Seems okay after my first line cleaning, but I know these types of sprayers can fail over time. We shall see...
Overall impressions are very good. Just got this in today and just got through with cleaning my lines. Worked very well. Loses a half a star for value and a half a star for the inexpensive sprayer that may not last for years and years...
A couple of tips for cleaning your kegerator lines. Clean your lines between every keg, or once a month at the longest. Also, it is a very good idea to break down the faucet and give it a good scrubbing/cleaning every couple of times you clean your lines. Having line cleaner simply flow through or sit in the faucet is not sufficient to get it completely clean as buildup from the beer will occur.
Styles that are most prone to faucet buildup are: Lagers/Pilsners, Amber Ales, Brown Ales, Wheat Beers and Belgian Ales. IPAs and Pale Ales to a lesser degree. Stouts and Porters produce the least amount of buildup of any beer styles in my experience.
Since this unit connects to the beer line and bypasses your coupler, place your coupler in the pitcher that will be collecting the line cleaner as it flows through and let it soak in there for a few minutes and give it a good scrub with the included brush and a thorough rinse.
