Best tasting dried mangoes
paintednightsky•June 5, 2016
Best brand of dried mangoes ever. I've tried all kinds of other brands and bulk bin mangoes and none compare to this brand. Has real, intense mango flavor. Sweet and not just coming from the sugar. Not dried out or super stringy. Still a bit moist and easy to chew. You can see some of the juice inside the bag. Well worth the price and on amazon it is a lot cheaper than even wal-mart with more convenient 20 oz bags. The little bags don't last long. A relatively healthy snack as long as you don't over do it.
These are the BEST!!

I am ADDICTED to this stuff. A neighbor brought some back from the Philippines and gave me a bag of this a while back. I tried it and was instantly hooked! Imagine my delight when I found them for sale on Amazon, so I can feed my addiction (pun intended) fairly conveniently.
I've tried various other brands of dried mangos from various super markets and stores like Target, and the only ones which come close to being as good as these are the one's at Trader Joe's. However, they're just not as tasty, and although they cost about half as much they only come in a smallish bag about a quarter the size of one of these. So, not only are these the best tasting, but they're actually less expensive overall than anything I've found in a brick and mortar store.

Awesome flavor and texture!
So much better than the orange or opaque color of most brands. Was paying way to much for these at Costco and BJ's and I had to drive an hour to either one.

Soooooooooooo good! A better treat than candy but just as intense and flavorful!

Oh my gosh these are SO GOOD.
The only thing about thinking to write a review is I am now aware of how quickly that first bag went...eep....SO SO good.
In a perfect world I'd only order pure mango with no added sugar or preservatives..but for the time being this sort is more affordable, plentiful and it's a step....better than candy, yes it has sugar but you're also getting fiber and mango nutrients.
The mango is pretty soft and pliable, very few pieces had that almost hair like fiborousness that dried mango can get, I think it comes from cutting super close to the pit. As I said just a few pieces like that. The majority are just beautiful, as I said between the two of us (*ahem, it was meeeeeeee, all meeeeeeeeee, I ate the mango, ALL.THE.MANGO and I don't care who knows!!!!!!!) the first bag lasted a week...now I will exercise some control (MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGO) and try not to scarf down the second bag...not trying to set mango eating records....
If you've had dried mango before you already know what it's like...in case you've not experienced this joy it is very thin chewy strips of the fruit. It is pleasantly sweet but not tooth achingly so, just enough to keep it a treat. It's texture is like fruit leather..well, honestly if I think about it a lot like tender beef jerky..ew, weird comparison, sorry bout that. Fruit jerky! haha
Yum yum, I will be buying again.

One of my favorite snacks. Husband could probably eat a whole bag in one sitting. The kids (age 9 and 6) are addicted too. These dried mangoes are so, so good, it's almost like eating candy. I removed one star for the weird fibrous bits that you get every few bites. I wish there was a way to eliminate this, but I know that odd texture is inherent to parts of the mangoes so maybe it can't be helped. It won't stop me from purchasing this product though!
