This is absolutely delicious soup. There are many small meatballs in it and the flavor is good. Of course, homemade is always the best but this is a wonderful staple to have on hand when you don't want to bother cooking. It isn't overly salty and won't wipe you out with high calories either. I often make a dinner of this with a fresh salad.

Good, reliable split-pea soup. You probably will never get really good pea soup unless you go to Pea Soup Andersen's or maybe Reichenbach Hall, or make it yourself. This is the best of the canned stuff.

Recently when I was sick a friend brought over several cans of soup including Beef Barley. It is thick, rich, has a good amount of meat, generous amount of vegetables, and tasty barley. This is a very satisfying soup. I purchased several more cans since then to have on hand for emergencies. It is good!
