Great product
OkieBlue✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 9, 2017
It came virtually fully assembled and had no leaks. Plug and play for real. We got good performance but our water pressure is low so we had a lot of waste water. We added a second membrane and a booster pump and we now make about seven gallons per hour and waste water ratio is almost one to one. We had another (cheaper) brand before and this is far superior. Highly recommend.
Does the job with some waste

This RO/DI system works as advertised. I am glad I have a small lawn that I need to keep green where I can at least use the good amount of water waste that it produces everytime it generates filtered water. It is close to 4:1 (4 parts waste, 1 part filtered water). It definitely helps with my filtered water requirement for my saltwater tank. This will come handy for people who do not have convenient source of filtered water. I won't recommend to people located to places where water conservation is required.
Unexpected Initial System Run-in
Nicole D✓ Verified PurchaseApril 7, 2017
So far so good! The set up is extremely easy. Initial run-in of the system didn't go as expected. I hooked up my supply line to my kitchen sink via the provided adapter and a second adapter I purchased from a hardware store. I turned on my faucet and the gauge wasn't reading a pressure. I preceeded to turn the water on all the way. Still didn't receive a pressure reading on the gauge. I could see the water entering the different filter stages. After waiting approximately one minute water started spraying out of the quick connect on the effluent of the third stage and the quick connect for the reject line. I turned off the faucet and wiggled the quick connect fittings around then tried supplying water again. This time my pressure gage reading went up. I was getting around 70 psi. The quick connects didn't leak after the initial system wetting. I recommend running the system initially without the DI resin installed. I was able to reduce my TDS reading from 36 ppm to 2 ppm without the DI filter. I have yet to perform a TDS analysis on the DI effluent, but I can only imagine the DI resin will successfully reduce the 2 ppm effluent of the third stage to 0 ppm. So far I am satisfied with my AquaFx RO system.

The AquaFX Barracuda Ro/Di unit is perfect for my needs! It does what it's stated to do with no issues. I had a few question and called their customer service. I forget the lady's name but she was incredibly informative and very knowledgeable and very nice all at the same time!!! She hooked me up with some insider tips and tricks. Best customer service I ever had!!! I would recommend this product to anyone!!!!
set it up (very easy - insert a filter and some lines)

Got this, set it up (very easy - insert a filter and some lines), and then headed to the hardware store to buy an adapter for our sink faucet. Using two parts this was easily accomplished, no leaks.

The very first half glass to the 20th gallon, so far filtering the water has gone from 50-60 ppm out of the tap to exactly 0. Yes, as expected, there is quite a bit more waste water than product, but that's how these work.

I am very satisfied with this unit so far, and look forward to using it to make pure water for our salt water aquarium.
