Like a lot of others said, it is small. But its a play toy for kids and a toy for imagination. I think they get the gist of what things are and are unrealistic enough to know it is a play toy and they keep out of their mouth. Bought this for my son when he was a year and has lasted through him and my daughter who is 18 months. Has lasted the wear and tear and no crushed food. I can see how they can crush these as it is a softer plastic, but it redeems itself as these may frequently get launched across the room.

What a fun little game, playing going to the outdoor market, learning fruits and veg, color, washing food, thinking of recipes for pretend. Product has held up. Would recommend.

Some people have complained that these are too dinky, but so far they have held up pretty well. My son plays with them, and not always gently. They also get pushed around by the cats and randomly kicked by the adults. They are holding up fine. I like that these fruits veggies are easy to identify. I wasn't stumped by any of them. I also like that the basket is small enough for my 1.5 year old to carry it around if he wants to.

I bought it to go with the Ben Franklin Talking Toy Cash Register so they'd have
some things to "check-out". After researching all the others available, this seemed
like the best quality without any cardboard boxes to fall apart right away.

I bought these to be used as props for my classroom. So many other similar sets are expensive and all the fruits and vegetables look the same or you get 5 of the same one. In this set there is a large variety of fruits and veggies and they actually look like they are supposed to look. It's a cute set and I think my students will enjoy it.
