It has a solid, heavy feel. It does what it is supposed to do in holding the record tightly against the mat. One thing I like is that it still lets you see the record label instead of covering it up all the way. That's just an aesthetic point, but it's a plus for me.

i was expecting a more chrome finish to match my TT chrome arm but its black chrome, overall it's a good clamp keeps my records put, the heads hell isn't dancing as much anymore as far as sound it's a bit more quiet better focus on the instruments and tight bass I'd recommend this product to anyone seeking more tweaks for your hi fi system !
... the direct drive motor - there seems to be better tracking and more clarity

it does not seem to affect speed or tax the direct drive motor - there seems to be better tracking and more clarity, but were I to purchase this type of product again I would purchase one that is heavier and has a larger diameter -
