Our refrigerator has vents in the bottom back sides and it was a tight fit between the existing cabinets. I took a hike saw and drilled same size holes as the vents into both cabinets and one on the outside wall of cabinet. These fit in perfect and you can't really notice it against our white cabinets. The fan in the fridge doesn't seem to ry as often anymore so I think it's getting the venting it needs.

it's a little annoying that matte black isn't a factory option for these, as that seems like a common choice, but they take to spray paint very well, so, problem solved
