I bought this at auto zone for $3 and it works like its supposed to, i have a brand new car and -20 fluid would still free so after adding this I've haven't had any issues. Would highly recommend but the price on amazon is super high. But if you can't find it locally just cough up the $9 on amazon and it'll be worth it.
If your fluid is frozen (stick a steel coat hanger down teethe filler neck) leave the car in garage overnight, let it thaw out it should be ready by the next morning. Check fluid make sure it sprays and if so then spray out all old fluid and refill with prestone -27 fluid also at auto zone
(2 for $6) and add this fluid additive and you wont have frozen fluid issues again.

This stuff seems to be pretty helpful - but the way I use it is by mixing a full bottle with deicer washer fluid (i.e., the orange/pink stuff) for maximum effect. Even then, there are times where it seems to freeze slightly at temps higher than it should be (like -2 deg weather) but in general it's better than using just regular fluid.
Great Stuff but You're Better off Buying Good Fluid in the First Place

This stuff is great if your fluid reservoir has frozen or if you suddenly find yourself driving a southern car up north in the winter. It works, but a bottle of this plus a bottle of the "blue juice" is more expensive than just buying a bottle of premium windshield de-icer.
According the MSDS for Prestone Windshield Fluid Booster, this bottle contains less than 36% Methanol. Methanol is an alcohol with a very low freezing point that makes for a great defroster. This can lower the freezing point of your "blue juice" to make it more effective. If you've discovered that your fluid has frozen in the reservoir, pouring in a bottle of this should melt it (it'll take a day or two).
Keep in mind, though, that a bottle of this stuff (by the way, it's MUCH cheaper at the auto parts store) plus a bottle of "blue juice" will cost more than just buying a gallon of Prestone De-icer Windshield Fluid (yellow fluid), and the yellow fluid has more methanol anyways!
