Found these beans to be very good old fashioned taste very tender beans. I have been eating these beans for several years and found the quality to always good (they also make an excellent ingredient for succotash)
Magnificent taste for a healthful food

Absolutely the BEST TASTING preparation of lima beans possible.

This is my favorite canned vegetable and I used to buy at Haggen, but since covid they stopped stocking it. I found it on Amazon and happily ordered 6.

A good-tasting, "hearty" cannned (long-term storage possible) vegetable

As someone else said, some people do, and some don't, like lima beans. I do (too).
I find these to have very nice flavor & texture & tenderness right out of the can (esp. with S & P). I eat them cool or room temp in summer. For a changeup & a "third vegetable" I mix these 50/50% with my simple homemade split pea soup, which is better than either alone.
There is a faint but distinct "canned" flavor that is next to impossible to hide, apparently.
As to "slabs of bacon", the claim is that they are FLAVORED with slabs of bacon (I believe that), not that you'll get "slabs of bacon" in each can.
As to price, yes they all seem to be way overpriced online. I can get these (15.5 oz) for 99 cents at my local Texas grocery store (as of 6/2020), which is a big +!
As canned veggies go, this is one of my favorites. Thanks, Mom, for teaching me to love vegetables!
