OMGosh what a difference. Make sure and get the pitman arm that matches

The old steering design these units replace was the only weakness I found on this truck and this upgrade is a massive difference.
Stopped the Death Wobble for Me
Txagengr•May 1, 2017
My Dodge RAM 2500 truck developed the dreaded "death wobble" after 200,000+ miles. I bought this linkage and had it installed, but knowing the history others have had trying to solve the death wobble issue, I was not very optimistic that this alone would fix the problem. However, I've not had a single recurrence of the wobble since the installation a couple of months and 2,000 miles ago. Inexpensive and not difficult to install, but you will, of course, need a front end alignment after the install. Installed this with a new Bilstein steering damper. Despite recommendations otherwise, it was not necessary to install a new Pittman arm to use this new linkage.
Been putting off the upgrade for too long

Seized my 2006 Ram's factory steering damper, which bent the linkages and actually sheared a tie rod ball joint. Decided it was time to do the 2008.5 upgrade while the truck was down. I never had a "death wobble" problem, but it does feel like the truck has better initial turn-in with the new linkage (and a Bilstein 5100 damper) versus the factory setup.
The only complaint came from my mechanic, who griped about needing to spend an hour cutting the pitman arm off of the steering box to install the one needed to this linkage.....

No grease zerks. Fits 2003 Dodge 2500 4x4 gas 5.7. Very Happy!

NO grease zerks. Fit 2003 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 gas 5.7L just fine.
No lifts or anything, just a stock truck, replaced the original no problem.
I was pretty skeptical this would be right, but took a chance because it's Amazon, and I could return it without hassle.
Installed just fine, very happy.
I prefer grease zerks, but for the money this is still 5 stars all day.

This purchase saved my truck

I have a 2006 Dodge diesel truck. I added a 3 inch lift to the front Springs and ended up with what is being called the death wobble. After a few experiences with that the front tie rod snapped and my truck went into the center Median on the freeway at 65 miles an hour with no steering. I went to dodge and beg them for reasoning and they would not recognize that there was a problem. I purchased this upgraded steering linkage and installed myself. After having the truck professionally aligned I never had another problem and the steering is amazing it's like a new truck.
I wanted to wait at least a few months after installing to make sure the repair was not temporary and I can't tell you how happy I am it saved me from selling my truck. I looked everywhere on the internet for a solution when I came across another person's experience at purchasing this upgrade. This was my last effort to make my truck ride again and it worked 100%.
If you are experiencing the death wobble make sure your front end is tight and purchase this upgraded steering linkage kit.
