A sturdy chair, but it is the most uncomfortable office chair I've ever sat in. The lumbar support is horrid and the seat cushion, though it appears thick, is of a lower grade foam that compresses A LOT to the point that my bottom hits the hard surface under the foam seat. Im only 5'6" and weigh 176 lbs and I really should not be able to compress a seat cushion like that. I will comment that the hardware and plastics of the chair are quite strong and it is really easy to put together. But all of that is irrelevant if I can really only sit for about an hour or so until it become uncomfortable.

pretty high quality for not much more than the ones at Sam's. the ones at sams last a year or 2 before the shocks go bad. hope the shocks last with these. they cost maybe 20% more so maybe the shocks will last several years. the quality seems good for the price.
Mechanism came loose-- look elsewhere

Had this chair just over 3 years now and just a few days ago, the chair column and mechanism has started to come loose. There isn't anyway to fix it except to replace both parts which might not even be possible. Its not bad for a chair I paid only $80 for, but theres probably better chairs out there especially with its now $130 (?!) price tag.
Most Uncomfortable chair I Ever Owned/Used

Literally the most uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in at work or owned at home. The backrest of the chair is curved inward towards your back like a bow. It looks like it is supposed be lumbar supporting, but it pushes your middle back forwards while your lower back is forced in the opposite direction. The chair's tilt can be altered somewhat but you cannot change the position of this mid-back hump which is bowing your spine. So during normal work this hump tends to force you to lean forwards in an uncomfortable way.
Perhaps, this position is correct posture-wise although I doubt it. Sitting in this chair while attempting to work amounted to Chinese water torture for me and I was forced to get another chair after about 5-days of trying.
Hope this helps someone else before they buy this uncomfortable chair.

Easy to Assemble, and Comfy, just one glitch…

This chair was easy to put together. Each piece and screw was clearly labeled and the instructions were easy and straight forward. It took me about 15 minutes to unpackage and put together. Not bad! Sitting in the seat before any adjustment was very comfortable. It spins and moves on the floor freely. Pulling up the leaver to adjust the height up and down was smooth. Now, the problem comes when I tried to release the tension to recline back; you know to get that bouncy, rocky chair feeling. I couldn't figure it out based on the arrows on the lever. Luckily, the instructions said to PULL the lever to release the tension so you can bounce, and push it in to keep the resistance. However, I am 5ft 4 inches and weight 125 lbs. I could get no movement or bounce back and forth. However, when my husband sat in it (he is 5 ft 11 inches and weights about 180 lbs), had no problem and seems to have a good amount of give. But he said it was a little stiff. Anyway, luckily the chair is very comfy as is. I read one review that said the chair seems to tilt forward, but that was not the case with our chair. We are very happy with our purchase!
