Got this to cut a nut from a bolt however unless you have a high rpm drill this is not an effective means to cut with, angle grinder or cut off wheel obviously is way faster and efficient but if a drill is all you have it will with time eventually get through most metals, my experience was basically my drill at max setting did some cutting but my drill couldn't spin it fast enough for sparks, discs work just make sure your drill spins fast enough to make this worth having as opposed to just getting a cut off wheel or angle grinder from tool store which would be about 20 dollars more than this and would make quicker work, still I'm keeping it cause you never know, honestly got it for the Mandel tool, allows any blade that's round to be used in your drill, kinda neat to have the option, prob will never use it except when just kicking around.

This turns your impact or drill into a grinder. More powerful and bigger than a dremel, but wimpier than a proper grinder. Perfect for the occasional small metal cut.
Note that impacts have a little wiggle in them, so this isn't as smooth when starting a cut.
I love adding new abilities to an existing tool with attachments like this. I just wish there was one to connect to a standard 4 inch disc which you can find anywhere, or if there were grinding discs as well as cutting. More please!
