It's great for the price, considering the cost difference for better mat cutters. I do love Logan products, but this is a little hard to use as one person. Maybe that's why they call it "team system"... I feel like I need someone to hold down the rail while I slide the cutting blade. I use it to cut
and mat mostly 24" posters, and I've had some pretty good results. The bevel guide line is accurate and the rail has a little bit of grip to help it not slide.

This works quite well if you want to cut a modest number of mats for yourself. It does take a little strength (my husband could make cuts the first time, but I often had to go over cuts twice). It can also be easier to make good cuts if you have someone else hold the straight edge--a team effort. :-D I recommend cutting two practice mats before cutting one you want to keep. With a little practice, you'll get very pleasing results.

I hadn't matted anything in a decade until this came in the mail. I was really surprised at how easy this is to use and how exact the cuts are. Do yourself a favor and watch one of the youtube videos on how to use it if you're not sure, though it's pretty self explanatory. It comes with a few extra blades as well. Really happy with this purchase and glad I didn't spend twice as much money on something else.
