I've purchased these filters three times now, and every time I have, the price goes up and the quality goes down. These filters are incredibly flimsy and seem to fall apart if you even look at them wrong. Every time I buy them they are thinner and more poorly made than the last. Also, if you're foolish enough to buy these, keep in mind they'll only last you about 30 days and they CANNOT be cleaned without destroying them. I don't think they're even that good at deodorizing the air, because they're so thin that the activated carbon can't really do its job. It's safe to say I've learned by lesson and I will never buy these again.

Do yourself a favor and buy these instead: All-Filters CP-6005 Cut to Fit Carbon Pad for Air Purifiers. You have to cut them to size but for under $8 you're getting much higher quality. I tried it yesterday and I cut them 15 1/8 inches long by 7 1/4 inches wide and they fit my ARC-14S perfectly. They also seem to do a better job of deodorizing the air, and as a bonus, I can make four of these at a time, for a quarter of the price.

Quite porous, so really designed for minimal smell removal. If used in an area that has stronger smells, like an indoor garden, it doesn't remove enough smell to make much of a difference.

The filter was delivered, as far as packaging goes, in good shape. When I opened the filter to install, it was oddly shaped like a polygon. It looked like it had been cut out of a larger sheet by a kindergartner. It wouldn't cover the rectangular area of the prefilter no matter how I stretched it. I will not be buying this product again. If all I get is some cut out piece of crap from a large sheet, I can certainly do that myself and more than likely save a lot of money (and do a heck of lot better job cutting it out!). Over priced, poor quality fit and disappointing to say the least.

I opened up the package and didn't get what I needed. I think the order got confused because I got a magnetic surface mount.
