Great tool but could be more carefully manufactured.
Robert H.•June 7, 2017
I like the usefulness of this tool. However, I was disappointed in the condition of the checker when I received it. One of the beads between the checkers was broken in half and laying in the bottom of the bag. Also, the white paint on some of the checkers was incomplete and on some it looked more like brown, Lastly, the 7-1.0 male threads were dinged flat on one side.
Superior product!

These are worth every penny. I would buy them again in a heart beat if needed but they are so well made, I am sure they will be around for my son to enjoy. That's how well they are made. Superior product!
Short threads on male side

You could probably build this for a lot less, but once you value your time, it probably isn't worth it.
It hangs in my garage and comes down every time some bolt or nut is being finicky and is headed for the tap/die set. It can be a little tricky to use on parts that are still attached (say, on a car) because there are only about 4-5 threads on the male side. I dropped a star because it would have cost almost nothing to make those a bit longer, but would have made the tool much easier to use.

Awesome

No more trips to Home Depot to figure out what size oddball nut or bolt I need. These are clearly etched with the size and because they are not hard mounted on a board (like so many of the options available) they are much easier to use where they are needed. They go to the project instead of the project coming to them. Also, you get a lot more sizes than any of the other competitive products. By far the best choice. Liked them so much I bought the SAE version as well. The guys that have visited my shop since I received these all went home to order their own.
Work great. Cable is ungainly and awkward.

Works great. Excelent to have around. Markings are adequate (maybe other reviewers got older versions or something?). Minus one star because I agree with the other users that the cable sort of makes them hard to hse for anything that is a fixed location - like I needed to figure out the thread on a threaded port on a motorcycle and it was very hard with these because the cable attached to all the others means you cant screw in the socket to test... I will be looking for a good way to keep these without the cable. Other than that these are excelent (for their purpose).
