Great for elderly!
AO•January 23, 2018
Purchased this for my elderly grandmother who has very bad arthritis in her hands and can't hold a book open. This has been a life saver, she loves being able to read again! And it can prop up on the table or on her tummy while laying back in bed. It's soft, lightweight and sturdy.
Love It!

"The Book Seat" holds my hardcover books perfectly. The fold down feature is easy to use when turning pages. Using it is a great relief for my hands, especially when reading large books. Because of its bean bag like filling, "The Book Seat" balances very well when reading in multiple positions. It's also great for propping up instruction manuals, music books, tablets, etc. Delivery was fast. I highly recommend "The Book Seat"!
A handy helper

My doctor recommended this pillow (or one like it) because I was getting pain in my shoulders from holding my book when I read at night (in combination with other hobbies that strain those muscles). I use a wedge reading pillow for my back and prop this on my knees and I only have to reach up to turn pages which saves the strain on my shoulders from constantly holding the book. There is a nice pocket in the back that I like to put my bookmark in. I have used it for large hardback books and paperbacks and have no issues with fit.
The Bookseat meets my needs very well

I have had my Bookseat only a couple of weeks, but it's in my lap many times a day. When I first got it, I was surprised at the light weight, however I find it adapts well to position my tablet or book in my lap. I am a paraplegic and use my Bookseat primarily when I am in my recliner. Because of my frequent body shifting, the angle of my readers also changes. I like the book holder and that it's adjustable. I wish the phone pocket was a bit bigger. I appreciate the loop for carrying. I used a pyramid for years, but this is a much better fit for my needs.
this thing does the job. holds my books open for me. done.

i was skeptical but desperate. i was using chip clips to hold me books open. my arms were tired, it sucked. i bought this. i love it. it's not as elegant as an iphone or something but it sure as hell works. the books i use it for are hard and softcover non-fiction books.
