Holy F N s@&!t this product is like magic! I relocated and no longer had a garage to park my beloved Honda CRV. I had covered parking with my condo but my parking stall backed a chain link fence and landscape of an adjacent building. Unbeknownst to me the sprinklers were going on at night and watering the back of my car in addition to the shrubbery. After six months I realized there were black water spots all of the bottom half my back hatch. I tried other off the shelf products to no avail. Then I saw this on Amazon and read the reviews and decided to purchase. OMG the spots are gone. My car looks brand new. Easy to use, alittle goes along way, 10 stars I highly recommend this product you will not be sorry!!!! I wish I would have taken before and after photographs.
It works

It works, not magic but with a little effort it polishes the glass to a very acceptable shine. the label warns not to leave on the glass for more than a minute to prevent etching. It really doesn't seem like that is that big or a problem Tried it on a scrap piece of glass, I wouldn't let it dry but as long as I worked the surface it did not seem to cause a problem. It does it's work in about a mionute anyway.
Worked for me and saved my paint, spots rub off easily, great product!

I wasn't sure if this was going to work, could be a hit or miss but I made the purchase to try it out in hopes that it would solve my problem. I've never experienced hard water spots on my car before and didn't know that the area I parked in at my condo would be attacked by sprinklers. Before realizing what those spots were, I thought a car wash would wash them off. I was pretty upset afterwards because a car wash couldn't remove the spots. The spots were all over the front of my car and even worse, my windshield, it looked terrible. Oh and what's even worse than that? Well I recently got a factory paint job on the front of my car, not cool at all. After finding out what it was, I tried vinegar and water, then full on vinegar as suggested and it did nothing. The spots were on my car for less than a week and still so hard to remove though I've read that it has something to do with the sun cooking it into the paint, but still. I looked up numerous products that were made for hard water spots and settled with this and I couldn't be happier. I had that "whatever" feeling at first because I didn't think it would work since there's plenty of 1 star reviews.
I decided to try it out early in the morning when the weather was still cool and the sun had yet to reach my car. I dabbed a small area on the hood and then lightly rubbed it off with a microfiber towel and the spots vanished, it was so easy to remove and here I was before thinking that the paint was damaged forever. I did get a little bit of this stuff on the side of my window though and I had trouble getting it off so I didn't test this out on the windshield since I purchased a product before this one that was made for glass. I am overall happy that this was able to remove the hard water spots off my car's paint.

This stuff actually works!

In my ignorance, I left the rear of my new Ram 1500 exposed to our sprinklers. For four months. When I found that I couldn't just wash the water spots away, I went online to see what to do. I found this product on Amazon and tried it out. i had to apply the gel three times on the body before the spots came out (I wasn't willing to leave it on as long as some others said they did--the instructions are quite clear about how long to keep the gel on the paint), but the water spots did come out eventually. The chrome was a bit more difficult. I finally alternated between this product and a chrome polish to get those spots out. I imagine if you don't let the sprinklers have a go at your vehicle for months, you won't have as much trouble as I did getting the spots out. The truck is now well covered, but I know what to do if those spots come back.
Not for "cooked" in water spots
Ludy•June 20, 2016
The grounds crew at work ran the sprinklers on my 1 week old navy blue car. Of course, the water spots stood all day long and "cooked" into the paint by the time I got off work. I rushed to the automotive store, got a bottle of over-the-counter water spot remover, which did remove the visible part of the water spots. However, the tiny etched rings from the water spots still exist on (in) the paint. When looking from a reflective light source at an angle, you can still see these etchings, clear as day.
I bought this product hoping it would remove those types of "cooked" into the paint water spots. Sadly, it did not.
This might be a good product for removing the highly visible type of water spots that still show the left behind white remains of a recent hard watering of a vehicle, but it will not remove the less visible water spots etched into the paint itself. My next stop will likely be to the body shop to have the paint thoroughly polished in an attempt to rid the car of the "cooked" in spots.
