I have judged over 1,000 bowls of competition chili over the past 37 years, so am familiar with features popular with judges. The winners of the World Championship contest are required to publish their recipes, so skills continue to improve. Competition chili cannot be provided to the public on a cost-effective basis, however, as complex ingredients and timing are required. I have also tasted most every canned chili and would only use the majority to edge my driveway. In effect, the typical consumer has no idea of what an excellent bowl of chili should be and I have converted a recipe that has won the world championship four years into a spice packet that also restores flavor lost in the high heat required in the canning process. Therefore, the combination of a batch of the spice chili, combined with Chef Mate (the absolute best canned product) enables a competition quality pot of chili. I am currently exploring ways to exploit commercially, with strong social efforts from the proceeds. Chef Mate is the absolute best.

I fully expected this to taste different than when my Mother would make it many years ago. I was surprised to see that this is made with cheddar cheese. Mom never used any cheese in her chipped beef cream sauce, so the taste was much different than what I was hoping for.
I also expected it to be too salty, it wasn't for me. There was, however, an after taste I wasn't fond of. Probably the cheese.
I would eat this again, (on toast) but it isn't something I would have a big hunger for.
Average taste, the sauce was the perfect thickness and there was plenty of meat in there.

This chili was way too spicey.Could not tastr it because of the heat. I normally luv chili but this stuff could turn you off of chili forever. There should be a money back guarantee. Deserves zero stars.

It was too salty and really did not taste like any chipped beef gravy I have ever had. No one in the family likes it. I have been eating it, since I bought it and paid way to much for it. I won't be buying it again.
