Pinch the knobs
COA×4•September 15, 2017
Do not bang these on a table nor on your watch. Just firmly pinch, then release the two knobs. Also, hold it from the very top. Otherwise, the Weber and Rinne Tests will be inaccurate.
Finish a bit too cheesy to be called "medical grade".

How is this "medical grade"? Finish is nothing to write home about. Does work well for tuning as well as diagnosing nasal congestion, although there are good apps for phones that do a better job of tuning (stroboscope simulation) over a much wider range.
Only a newbie would fail to recognize this as a fake.

This is NOT medical grade. I lost one of my two 256 Hz forks at work, bought this as a replacement, and:
1) the vibrations were very faint;
2) it wasn't even in tune!
I suppose someone that had never purchased one before might not have known any better--probably some poor first year medical student, who will inevitably be embarrassed when someone else points it out as a cheap knock-off.
