This duster doesn't perform well. It spews out the contents in clumps rather than "mist-like" dust. It comes with a steel bearing inside the body to break up the dust but seems to be insufficient for the task. I added a couple pebbles to help but it still expels way too much powder (I'm using it to apply Drione). I've tried various adjustments but nothing seems to improve the distribution of powder. I've had several other dusters over the years and this one is the poorest of all. I actually bought two of them and found them both equally poor. I would have returned them but since I filled each with Drione, I felt it was too late. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

These are a must-have if you live in an area or building that have lots of bugs. If you follow directions in how to apply diatomaceous earth or boric acid, you will stem the intrusion of these bugs into your home or office. We live in a wooded area in a very rural community and yeah, lots of ants, roaches, beetles, spiders...and we have NONE in the house, sheds, or garage after application. Yeah, you need this.

I had a cockroach problem at my new apartment so I bought this to apply boric acid into all the little corners and crevices of the apartment. It shoots out the powder in very little amounts which is perfect for applying boric acid since the cockroaches will not walk over the boric acid if it is pilled on too high. Because so little powder comes out, sometimes I can not really tell if anything is coming out.

They tell you to just turn the applicator UP and press on the bellows. I would shake it up to get the dust aerated and when you pressed the bellows nothing would seem to come out at all. I never trusted that; so sometimes I'd turn it upside-down, then put the tube up to the top again and you'd see a spurt come out. So, that's the way I would use it.

Good for fitting in-between the sides of each electrical outlet (if it is flexible enough) to get inside the walls if you are spraying for bed bugs.

Spray all around the edges of every rug and under the edges of the rug if it lifts-up.

I am not sure why I didn't receive the hand duster pictured. I received another duster green in color that is called a pesticide duster on amazon that was for more expensive. I really wanted this hand duster as it had better ratings and you can see through it. Shipping was faster than expected; it came 5 days earlier than the due date. So far I like this duster compared to a squeeze mustard bottle. It puffs it more finely and not in chunks. You can control the amount you puff out by pressure. I live in an apartment and I suspect bedbugs. I haven't seen one but I've been through bed bugs once in my life and they are a nightmare. They are traumatizing and will change your outlook in life. I had to throw away everything! Anyways we moved into a brand new apartment, first people to occupy this unit and everyone else too. I'm pretty sure the neighbors brought them. I saw their furniture/bed on their porch the first month and I get bites 3 months later into my lease. Greeeeatttt...Life is hell again. I am putting cimexa in this and dusting it in every outlet and crack/crevice. I have 3 more months in my lease and I am slowly battling this and bagging everything and being careful again. I am probably going to use this and cimexa for life as a preventative/control treatment only because I see society is spreading them and there is no way in stopping them but killing them early or prevention. Educate yourself people! You don't want these bugs feasting on you while you sleep. They are incredibly hard to get rid of once there are too many. I am giving this 3 stars so far because I hate getting something that isn't pictured of what I ordered.
