Pay a little extra and get the quality!
RP•July 27, 2017
this is the second Dorman mechanism I've purchased. I tried a cheaper one...it lasted a day or two! Had to tear it all apart, wait for the part again. Pay a little extra and get the quality!
Good buy!

GREAT value for the money! Much cheaper than buying it in a local store. Product was exactly as described and of good quality! Would buy it again!
Part great.... Project notsomuch....

So far, this product has been great.... The project of replacing it.... Notsomuch. The bracket that attaches this inner door panel had to be broken off and thrown away. I can't find anyway attach this to the inner door panel and put it in the door with the window guide place, so I chucked it and after scraping arms till the look like hamburger everything back in place and working just fine..... Some auto parts are not made to be serviceable, the setup was designed to NOT be serviceable. This part was clearly assembled THEN the outer door shell was welded on..... May want to consider letting a pro do this one. After reading the other reviews, it seems that this is an easy replacement on the older models.... Mine is a 2011 and they clearly decided to make it more difficult to do on later models.
Clip pin needs more secure fit - otherwise unit works
Mark Urquhart•May 15, 2016
This unit seems fine except that the green clip on mine was loose enough that it fell out during installation dropping into door where it cannot be retrieved. I tried to take the clip off the old Dodge unit but it was on so tight I was afraid of breaking. This makes be believe that these clips Dorman arm clips should have tighter connection fit to not fall out when being installed. Since Dodge clip could not be removed luckily the whole Dodge arm with clip piece had same insert pattern to be installed on the Dorman unit. Otherwise I could not have used this and would have had to by another. The Dorman unit with Dodge arm seems to work fine.
Working power doors are a must.
Turbomacharged•February 21, 2016
We had both sliding door power locks go out in our van in just a couple of weeks, so I bought two of these. I pulled out the middle seat to have plenty of room to maneuver when working on the doors. I watched a few youtube videos and went to work. It seems like I ended up drilling a small access hole in the sheet metal on one side (probably the passenger) to make installation easier. Not having power doors is such a pain with kids. So much better after the fix.
