I have had this splitter for a couple of years now. It does everything that it says it will and more. I have split wood of all types and sizes up to 20". Sometimes on larger logs 18-20" I will cut into them a few inches with my chainsaw, then they bust right in half. Splitting the resulting pieces is as easy as splitting smaller logs. It is important that you read the instructions and open the little wing nut on the front by the pull handle (otherwise you won't have any splitting power). One other nice thing that I noticed is that this one just has one handle to move the pusher, not a safety handle that has to be pulled at the same time as the handle to move the pusher. I am really happy that I bought this.
