Won’t work with Ddrum interface
98bpm•December 4, 2017
Purchased but had to return because it would not work with the trigger interface I use. I wanted a dual zone hi hat pad to replace my single zone pad from Pintech. The Pintech pad worked with the interface, but the performance was inconsistent with lots of mistriggering.
The RHH135 gave good sticking action on the bow, but the edge was too soft for me. Didn't matter anyway because it doesn't work with the Ddrum DDTi interface and I had to send it back the next day. Had it worked, would probably have been at least 4 stars (due to the soft edge).

Use with my Yamaha DTX 502 drum module and DTX pads. Great addition, very realistic and easy to assemble on my hi hat stand. I'm not sure that this hi hat controller can be used with any other electronic drum manufacturer's equipment but it does work well with my Yamaha equipment. Very pleased with my purchase.
Not perfect, but very good

I own the Yamaha DTX 522, and that kit did not come with a real hi-hat, so I purchased this RHH after I set up my 522 kit. That said, my complaint with the original hi-hat pedal was that it did not deliver a true feeling as I tried to open and close the HH, with nuance. The RHH solves this problem pretty well, but while it is much better, the feel of the HH is not quite identical to a real high-hat, which uses 2 hi-hat cymbals. Nevertheless, this is a very good compromise, and if you are building an all-electronic kit, you have no choice but to use a high-hat like this, or from another vendor. I'm happy with the RHH-135, and it works as well as I expected it to.
Great but the clutch doesn't fit all high-hat stands.

Ok.. I did have one problem but otherwise it's a 5 stars product. My high-hat stand for my acoustic drum set is an older DW 5000 series. The clutch wouldn't fit on the shaft and I bought a different stand (a Pearl 600 series) and it didn't fit that one either.
I finally took the clutch with me to a music store and found that the Yamaha HH stand and the Tama Iron Cobra 200 hHH stand have smaller diameter shafts which the clutch fits upon with no problems.
It works great, feels great. I'm using mine with a DTX-502 module.
